The best card game ever

Bridge is great fun, an endlessly intriguing game, and a great way to meet new friends.   It is one of the most enduring and popular games in the world.   For over  100 years people of all types from all walks of life have been gripped by the endless possibilities of fifty-two pieces of cardboard with spots and pictures.   Every one who plays says, “I don’t know what I did before I took up bridge!”

It is hard to put into words just what is so enthralling about bridge.   You really need to try it!   It is partly that it is a very sociable game and partly the challenge it offers.   Every deal is different and every one poses new problems with tremendous satisfaction when you overcome them.

Duplicate bridge, as played in bridge clubs, is a real ‘sport of the mind’. It has been a demonstration sport for the Olympics and included in the Commonwealth Games. It is as keenly contested as any other sport with local, national, European and World Championships.  

We believe that bridge is a game to be played and enjoyed right from the start and we make sure that our classes are friendly and fun, with structured play to  reinforce what is learned in class.
